Dy CM reviews Dal conservation works

Srinagar, June 17: Deputy Chief Minister   Tara Chand on Friday conducted extensive tour of Dal Lake to review works undertaken to conserve the world famous Dal Lake.
 The Deputy Chief Minister was informed that “18,943 cubic meter area was deweeded manually and 7,780 cubic meters mechanically from April to June this year.”
 He stressed on the concerned authorities to speed up conservation operations for which he suggested engagement of Dal dwellers also.
 The  Vice-Chairman, Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA)   Irfan Yaseen Shah accompanied the minister and other delegates.
