Minister for eco-friendly industrial units

Srinagar, June 17: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Dr Manhor Lal Sharma today urged the entrepreneurs to ensure environment friendly industrial units and safety of the workers engaged in their enterprises.
The Minister was interacting with the management of SIDCO and the unit holders during his extensive visit of Industrial units at Rangreth and Khonmoh here today.
He asked entrepreneurs to work with dedication and honesty and safeguard rights of workforce working in these Industrial areas. He also directed for producing quality products for assured marketing.
Centre Head, AEGIS World, SIDCO, Rangreth Omar Wani while apprising about the functioning of his Centre said the enterprise forms a part of the globally diversified ESSAR group which provides employment to over 500 young and enthusiastic personnel.
He said that the management plans to expand the ambit working of the centre shortly.
The Minister inspected DOEACC centre also and met 24 officers of Civil Secretariat being imparted training in course on computer concepts (CCC). The officers demanded extension of the 6 days training period and allotment of computer system after completion of their training to make use of it in their routine duties.
The Minister also inspected MCA Lab, Hardware Lab, and Bio-medical engineering Lab at Rangreth.
