NDMA mock drill at Baltal, Nunwan on June 25

Srinagar: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is conducting table-top mock drill exercises simultaneously at the Baltal and Nunwan Base camps of the Amarnath Yatra on June 25.
 According to an official communiqué, two NDMA teams from Delhi shall overview the conduct of these drills with the objective of evolving an optimum level of preparedness and response during a worst case scenario, evacuation arrangements, medical preparedness and arrangements in regard to hygiene and sanitation at the various Base and en-route Camps. During the course of these Drills all the stakeholders involved in Yatra arrangements shall be sensitized about Disaster Management preparedness, it said.
