The shrine Sajada Nisheen Syed Masood Hamdani of Nishat who is said to have given a fresh look to the shrine while speaking on the occasion said Hazrat Meer Syed Taj-ud-Din Hussaini Hamdani (RA) was a famous saint, scholar, and religious leader of 8th century (Hijri).

“That time Kashmiri people knew them as Hamdan citizens so people called them Hamdani,” said Syed Ashfaq Hamdani of Lal Bazar.
