ISM doctors appeal CM

Srinagar: A group of Indian System of Medicine (ISM) contractuals doctors today alleged that they were without salary from the last one year.
 A delegation told Greater Kashmir that around 42 doctors working in far flung areas of Kupwara, Shopian and Kishtwar were allegedly denied salary by the concerned department for the reasons better known to them. “Some of the medicos are sole bread earners for their families and are facing tremendous hardships due to financial constraints,” the delegation said.
 They said that they have been running from pillar to post to get the salary released, but to no avail.
 They sought intervention of Commissioner Secretary Health, Health Minister and Chief Minister in this regard.
