LPG dealer booked in Shahr-e-Khaas

Srinagar, June 1: LPG dealer was booked in Shahr-e-Khaas for allegedly selling underweight cooking gas cylinders.
An official handout said the Deputy Controller, Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Kashmir penalized the LPG agency for supplying underweight cylinders to consumers.
“The agency was fined Rs 5000 for the lapse. Another LPG agency was booked for using non-standard scales for weighment,” it added.
“The general public is informed that the cost of 14.2 LPG refill gas is Rs 375 (Home delivery). However if the refill cylinder is collected from godown of Gas agency, then there is an exemption of Rs 8. The consumers are requested to get the cylinder weighed for correct amount of gas before making any payment. In case of any complaint, phone No 2430589 may be contacted.”
