14th Srinagar badminton championship concludes
Srinagar, June 19: The 14th District Srinagar badminton championship organised by District Srinagar Badminton Association concluded at SK Indoor stadium here on Thursday.
On the concluding ceremony Secretary Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council Jaipal Singh was the chief guest and distributed prizes among winners and runners up. In the event around 250 players participated in both boys and girls section in different age groups.
The other guests who were present during the function were Sports officer Kashmir Haji Abdul Qayoom, commandant CRPF 174Bn and 23Bn.
In Mini boys singles final, Ayan hammed defeated Saleem Sheikh while in mini girls final Tehleel defeated Atneeb.
In Sub junior boys singles final, Danish defeated Syed Gufran while in girls final Irsah defeated Duha Maqbool.
In junior boys singles final Sabir Suhaib defeated Fasil Nazir while in girls final Najla Fayaz defeated Qudsia.
In junior boys doubles final team of Adil and Munneeb defeated Fasil Nazir and Mehmoon.
In Women’s singles Mir Bisma defeated Farana Fareed while in women’s doubles team of Mir Bisma and Sahreen defeated FarahAli and Asma Mustaiqr.
In mixed doubles team of Nisar Anim and Najla Fayaz defeated Azan Mir and Madam Nuzhat.
In men’s doubles team Farahan Ayub and Sahil Nazir defeated Owais Nazir and Nisar Anim. In men’s singles Farhan Ayub defeated Niyaz Ahmad.
The championship was organized by Srinagar District Badminton Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
