Dialogue must

This refers to the news Indo-Pak talks on June 23/24. It is a welcome step that the two countries are coming closer to each other. There is need to take serious Confidence Building Measures which would ensure better relations between the two neighbouring countries. In the past it has been observed that the two countries were not serious in addressing the issues like Kashmir and Siachen. But now with dialogue on, it seems something is definitely going to happen. One top of the agenda, however, should always be Kashmir given the sensitivity of the issue and the urgency to resolve the dispute. For the past two years in particular, there is a lot of loud over the resolution of Kashmir. Last year New Delhi appointed some interlocutors also to address the issue. So the need of the hour is to channelize all efforts so that peace returns to Kashmir.
