Marcos launches football academy in Gbl

Ganderbal, June 19: The Director of International Sports Academy Trust (ISAT), Juan Marcos Trioa launched the football academy at Qamaria Stadium Ganderbal on Sunday.
 “By launching the academy today, I am feeling relaxed now as I have now converted the much-awaited promise into reality”, Marcos told the gathering of footballers on the occasion.
 For the academy in the district, Marcos provided different equipments of international standard like parachute, track belts, net balls (for control), goal posts and the like worth Rs 2 lakh.
 “I hope this academy will provide a platform to you here and the district will produce the great footballers who will not only play at the national level but at the international level also”, President, District Football Association Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Dar while addressing the kids said.
 Around 100 children of the age group of 10-17 years have been registered with the academy which will be imparted training by the local coaches like Muzamil Mehmood, Umar Jan and others.
 Coach, Muzamil said that he will work day in and day out to impart the skills in the budding children so that the district could produce the talented players.
 “I am thankful to Marcos for giving us the academy after a long wait”, Muzamil said.
