1 killed in road mishap
Srinagar: A man was killed when his motorcycle met with an accident at Dhankhan Pandith Colony, Baramulla.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ishfaq Majeed son of Abdul Majeed Sheikh of Fatehgar Sheeri, Baramulla.
In another incident, a tipper (JK05B-7061) hit a motorcycle near Degree College Handwara injuring the rider, Abrar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Hassan of Maidan Chogal, police said adding the driver had been arrested and vehicle seized.
3 CONSUME POISON IN VALLEY
Three persons including a newly married couple attempted suicide by allegedly consuming poison in Valley.
A couple Me’raj-ud-Din Wani son-in-law of Ali Muhammad Wani and his wife Rukhsana resident of Khan Mohalla Punzwa, Villgam Handwara attempted suicide by allegedly consuming some poisonous substance at their home, police said adding the duo had been referred to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment.
In another incident, a girl of Gudder Kulgam allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home and was shifted to district Hospital Kulgam for treatment, police said adding a case had been registered.
