KU starts course on Mechatronics
Srinagar, June 21: The Vice-Chancellor Kashmir University Prof Talat Ahmad on Tuesday inaugurated a week long short term course in Mechatronics being organized by the varsity’s Post Graduate Department of Electronics.
Inaugurating the course Prof Talat Ahmad said the students have the right to use the instruments and should have free access to laboratories .
“Real knowledge comes through practical training,” the VC said.
“The VC said due to emerging nature and application of mechatronics this awareness course will go a long way in benefitting our students and even professionals who will have hands experience about elements of Mechatronics and its application in areas ranging from sensor technology to the design of enhanced products , processes and systems,” the KU PRO said in a statement.
In his address Head Department of Electronics and instrumentation said : “Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering.”
Prof M F Wani Head Department of Mechanical Engineering NIT Srinagar looked forward to more collaborations between KU and the NIT in “strengthening the activities and various training programmes for students.”
