Army holds function
Kupwara: The army organised a ceremony to honour the widows of slain soldiers at Kupwara district on Wednesday.
According to defence communiqué, the event was aimed at reaching out to these women and spread awareness about their entitlements and rights.
Vajr Division, Family Welfare Organisation, Convener Bipasha Chakravorty, presented gifts to the women.
Meanwhile, a medical camp was also organised for the benefit of these women in which 65 patients were treated by Army doctors and a civil lady doctor.
