KU conference concludes

Srinagar, June 23: A 3-day conference on  Open Source Software Systems: Challenges and Opportunities organized by Department of Library & Information Science (LIS) in collaboration with Department of Computer Science (DSC), Kashmir  University concluded Thursday.
 In his concluding address  Prof  S M Shafi  HoD LIS expressed satisfaction over the participation of delegates in the seminar. The Director   DSC  KU Prof S M K Qadri in his vote of thanks  expressed gratitude to the delegates of the conference.
 “Four technical sessions were held in two parallel tracks in the last two days of the seminar. In Technical session Prof. A.R.D Prasad (DRTC) was the chair person and Dr. Sajad Akhtar (NIC) was the invited speaker. In the session four papers was presented on the theme of the open source utilities,” the KU PRO said.
