Contractors appeal CM

Srinagar, June 25: A group of contractors construction bridge in Kunzer on Saturday alleged that the Economic Reconstruction Agency was refusing to pay them interim bill as per the negotiated rates.
 “After the bridge was damaged by the flood, some changes were made in the construction. The department gave us go ahead. We submitted an interim bill of Rs 1.32 lakhs on April 14 as per the rates negotiated. But they have not paid us a single penny till date. Even they have slashed the amount of Rs 1.32 lakhs to Rs 41,000,”they said. They demanded intervention of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the matter.
