IGP reviews security arrangements

Srinagar, June 26: The Inspector General of Police (IGP)--- Kashmir Range--- S M Sahai on Sunday visited Baltal and Sonamarg areas, base camp for yatris, to review the security arrangements, a police spokesman said.   
 “We are making all arrangements to ensure incident and hassle free Yatra,” the spokesman quoted the IGP as having said.
 The IGP, he said, asked the officials to utilize the optimum resources to ensure incident and hassle free Yatra. “Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Imtiyaz Ahmad briefed the IGP about the security arrangements put-in place to ensure smooth pilgrimage, scheduled to commence from June 29,” the spokesman added.   
 He said the IGP was accompanied by the Inspector General (Admn)-CRPF, Dr Ravi Prakash, Deputy Inspector General of Police-Central Kashmir Range-Srinagar, A G Mir, Deputy Inspector General (North)-CRPF, Sham Chand and other civil and police officers of Ganderbal district.
