Shahie Paezaar enthrals audience

Srinagar, June 28: Shahie Paezaar (Royal Shoe), the play based on a folktale of Baghdad known as Abu Ali Ka Joota on Tuesday enthralled the audience at the forth day of comedy festival being organized by The Jammu Kashmir Film Makers And Artists Co-operative Ltd.
As per its organizers, the play “revolves around the journey made by Abu Ali’s shoe, which has been presented to him by the king, from slavery to merchandise.”
The person tried to get rid of the shoes by various ways but it always lands him in trouble. Besides the shoes always returns to him
The audience broke to laughter when the matter was finally brought into the notice of the King who warned Abu Ali of not trying to get rid of the shoes. In case he does that he will be punished in a harsh way.
Pertinently, this the comedy festival at SKICC has been witnessing huge rush.
Hundreds of people have so far attended the festival which was declared open by Governor NN Vohra on June 25.
Leave apart Srinagar, people from far off places have been seen waiting in the picturesque lawns of SKICC for hours together for start of the show. Observers believe that it is after 30 long years that such huge gatherings are witnessed in such functions.
