Copter seat allocation enhanced to hotel industry

Srinagar, June 3: Governor, N N Vohra has enhanced the quota of helicopter seats for the hotel and hospitality industry in J&K for the ensuing Amarnathji Yatra.
The governor, who is also the chairman of Amarnath Shrine Board, took the decision while interacting with a deputation of the representatives of the Kashmir Hotel and Restaurant Owners’ Federation (KHAROF), Pahalgam Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association (PHROA) and Houseboat Owners Association (HOA) here last evening.
The governor said enhanced quota of helicopter seats would be allocated to the local hotel and hospitability industry players, an official statement said.
It was decided to assign 20 helicopter seats each to KHAROF, HOA and All Jammu Hotel and Restaurants Association, while the Pahalgam Hotel and Restaurant Owners Association has been allocated 30 seats per day.
CEO of the Board, R K Goyal, said that the allocation of 90 helicopter seats is in addition to the daily quota of 180 helicopter bookings earlier allocated to the four recognized Travel and Tour Operators, two each from Kashmir and Jammu Divisions.
