Dr Showkat Zargar assumes charge
Srinagar, June 3: Prof. (Dr) Showkat Ali Zargar today assumed the charge as director, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura.
In a communiqué, SKIMS said, Prof. Showkat Ali Zargar will also be ex-officio secretary to the State Government.
Prof S A Zargar has done MD medicine and DM Gastroenterology.
He has done commendable job in various affairs of the Institute.
Prof. Showkat Ali Zargar is editor-in-chief of Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, editor of Journal of Medical Sciences SKIMS. He is also the chairman of Institute Ethical Committee SKIMS and Cancer Society of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Radiologist Association president Dr Sajjad Peerzada has hailed the government decision.
