GoM on media to hold briefings thrice a week

New Delhi, June 3: The Group of Ministers (GOM) on Media, set up to put across the government's views effectively on various events, would be holding interactions with journalists at least thrice a week.
While two interactions will be organised to put across government's views, the third interaction will be reserved to disseminate plans, policies and achievements of various ministries, sources said.
It would be addressed by ministers from different ministries other than the seven members of the (GoM), they said. Sources also said the GoM was satisfied with the feedback it has received about the briefings.
The Group, headed by Home Minister P Chidambaram, comprises Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, I and B Minister Ambika Soni, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Water Resources Minister Salman Khursheed and MoS in PMO V Narayanasamy.
