JK Scouts and Guides participate in Green Marathon
Srinagar, June 5: Thousands of JK Lions Scouts and Guides organized a rally around world famous Dal Lake on Sunday to express concern over the deterioration of Kashmir’s fragile environment.
The Green Marathon race was telecast live on NDTV with film stars directly interacting with the Scouts and Guides. On the occasion, the Scouts and Guides minced no words in saying that Kashmir’s eco-system faces threat due to re-emerging of polythene and increasing population of stray dogs.
The Commissioner JK Scouts and Guides, Renzushah during the live interaction summarized all the pro-active measures taken by the State Government for reviving the glory of Dal Lake and other initiatives which are helpful for the protection of heavenly environment of the Kashmir.
