Medical faculty

This refers to the news published in GK regarding the common seniority of faculty members in government medical college Jammu and Sringar. It is a welcome step as it was before 2006 when faculty was transferrable in these medical colleges and government had a check on the performance of the doctors in medical colleges. Now these doctors have made these hospitals as their nursing homes and they hardly care about common man. There is no accountability in sight. All those doctors who enjoy private practice don't want to go to Jammu and vice versa for fear of losing private practice. In the interest of public, this faculty should be made transferable so that they remain in check. And perform their duties like all other employees.
