KU hosts environment week celebrations

Srinagar, June 6: Vice-Chancellor Kashmir University Prof Talat Ahmad Monday stressed the need for implementing environment polices and creating mass contact to save forests and ecology from further degradation.
Prof Talat was speaking as a chief guest at a daylong seminar on Forests : Nature at Your Service organized by Department of Environmental Sciences, Centre for Research and Development (CORD) in collaboration with ( National Service Scheme ) NSS wing of the varsity at Ghandi Bhawan , as a part of the World Environment Week celebrations which kicked off at Kashmir University Sunday.
The KU Registrar Prof S Fayaz program Coordinator, Prof Iqbal Hakim, HoD Environmental Sciences Prof Azra Nahid Kamili, and the seminar Director Prof Ashok Pandita also spoke on the occasion.
