DG BRO calls on CM, briefs about road communication projects
Srinagar, June 7: Director General, Border Roads Organization (BRO), Lt General Ravi Shankar called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here on Tuesday.
The Director General, in an hour long meeting, briefed the Chief Minister about various road communication projects being executed in the State by BRO. He also talked about the four lanning of Highway and up gradation of various highways besides construction of important bridges and tunnels in the State.
Highlighting the importance of construction sector in a hilly state like Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah underlined the need for timely completion of the ongoing schemes. He appreciated BRO for rendering stupendous service to the State in keeping highways pliable during the challenging times of winter and otherwise.
