HDFC Bank opens 18th branch in JK

Srinagar, June 7: HDFC Bank, one of the premier banks in the country, today inaugurated its 18th branch in J&K and first in Pulwama. The branch was inaugurated by Minister for State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani.
The Minister appreciated the growth and expansion plans of the bank and bringing world class services to the door steps of the people.
The Minister expressed hope that bank will generate more employment avenues for local educated youth and become a vehicle for economic growth of the state.
Wani emphasized the role of Private Sector in Employment generation and economic development of any sate.
The new branch will offer its customers world-class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as Savings Account, Fixed Deposits, Current Account, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Kisan Apple Finance, Gold Card, Tractor Loans, Two-wheeler loan, Auto loan, Commercial vehicles to sophisticated direct access banking channels such as ATM, PhoneBanking, NetBanking and HDFC Bank International Credit and Debit Cards, the bank in a statement said.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new branch, Zubair Iqbal, Dy Vice President & State Head (J&K), said, “The focus of the bank is to reach out to the large unbanked segment in the region and provide banking solutions and accessibility to funds”.
