Islamia College starts lecture series on biodiversity

Srinagar, June 7: A lecture series on biodiversity started at the Islamia College of Science and Commerce here on Tuesday.
The lecture series has been organized by the Department of Botany to commemorate the World Environment Week and raise awareness about the rich biodiversity in the state and also the issues it faces.
The first lecture was delivered by the Chief Conservator of Forests, OP Sharma aka Vidyarthi known for his popular weekly Tree Talk program.
Many more lectures shall be conducted in next one week, an Islamia college communiqué said.
