Niyas adamant on early start
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, June 7: As the talks between Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and Baba Amarnath Yatri Niyas failed to break the deadlock over the Yatra duration, the Niyas on Tuesday hardened its stand on commencement of annual pilgrimage to cave shrine of Amarnath from June 15.
“The talks were the last hope to make any breakthrough, but the government’s stubborn stance has made us to announce the final word on Yatra starting June 15 only,” the Niyas president Surinder Aggarwal told reporters here.
He said that all efforts to reach a consensus have failed and Niyas is all set to flag off its first batch of Yatries on June 14 from different headquarters.
On Monday, the fresh round of talks between the SASB and Niyas ended without reaching any consensus.
