SPCB, Women’s College organize painting competition

Srinagar, June 7: In connection with World Environment Week, the J&K State Pollution Control Board organised a painting competition Tuesday in collaboration with Government College for Women, M A Road Srinagar.
The competition was jointly inaugurated by SPCB Chairman Lal Chand. Regional Director SPCB, Farooq Geelani, and Principal Government College of Women were also present.
On the occasion, the students of eco-club made paintings on various environmental issues. Students also displayed numerous household items made from waste.
SPCB Chairman appreciated the efforts of the students and assured them all possible help from the government in generating environmental awareness in the society.
Member Secretary JKSPCB Arun Tiku said the function was part of week-long celebrations to be organised by SPCB through the Environment Week
