Court quashes 14 PSA detentions
GK COURT CORRESPONDENT
Srinagar June 8: The High Court on Wednesday quashed detention orders of 14 detainees booked under Public Safety Act.
The Court passed the orders after hearing the arguments of advocates, Mir Shafqat Hussain and Bashir Ahmad Tak who represented the detainees and additional advocate generals, J A Kawoosa, Shabir Ahmad, M A Thakur and Ajaz Ahmad Chisti who represented the state.
Among the detainees whose detention orders were quashed by the Court include, Khalid Farhat Shah son of Ghulam Muhammad Shah of Jamia Kadeem Sopore, Tariq Ahmad Dagga son of Ghulam Muhammad Dagga of Hamdanyia Colony Bemina, Mubarak Ahmad Wani son of Ramzan Wani of Bangidar Anantnag, Mushtaq Ahmad Changa of Sopore, Bashir Ahmad Chauhan of Handwara, Javid Ahmad Sheikh of Karachi Pakistan, Showkat Ahmad Hajam of Hajian Sonawari, Sakhi Shah of Lolab Kupwara, Bilal Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Rasool and Abdul Hamid Magray of Kupwara.
