JK to roll out CPIS soon

Srinagar, June 8: Minister for Finance A R Rather today said the CPIS, sanctioned under the 13th Finance Commission Award, is scheduled to be rolled out by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah within next two weeks. He said the government has launched a pilot project to switch over to web based Centralized Personal Information System (CPIS), to ensure efficient management and deployment of human resources available with the Government.  The proposed system, besides cadre management which includes recruitment, transfer, promotions, GPF, leave etc shall also be linked in future with generation of pay bills by drawing disbursing officers (DDOs) and budget system of the State.
