Tarigami seeks govt response on Sugar scam

Jammu, Mar 9: MLA Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami Wednesday asked the state government to come out with a statement over the alleged Sugar Scam, which has surfaced in the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Kashmir.
Referrning to the news items published in Greater Kashmir, Tarigami said that it was unfortunate that the ration meant for the general public was allegedly being swindled. “The Chief Minister is on record to say that the investigation in the matter has been initiated”, the MLA said, referring to the story which appeared in the GK.
He said that it was responsibility of the government to informe the House, which was in session, about the issue.
