Reservation system is becoming a cancer in the society, increasing unemployment at different levels. Who is backward this time? A person living in a posh area in Srinagar and whose children are studying in best private schools in the city and who is himself on a very high post? Is he backward because he belongs to an area which was declared as backward by an influential politician? Quoting an example, a person gets MBBS seat in category, same person gets MD, gets confirmation by PSC and becomes a consultant at a time when he no longer residing in that so-called backward area. This benefit is given to all his family members. This is one of the reasons for unemployment because meritorious children are deprived of their rights and opportunities. At some places rich people have migrated to places to obtain a category certificate, but a poor man living in that area doesn’t get his rights. Better declare entire Kashmir as backward so that this injustice ends once and for all.
