Chota Geelani held: Police

Sopore, Mar 11: Police on Friday said it arrested the district president of Hurriyat Conference (G) Ghulam Hassan Mir alias Chota Geelani.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) Sopore Altaf Khan while addressing a news conference here claimed that Mir was the “key troublemaker” in north Kashmir. “Around eight FIRs are registered against him in Police Station Sopore,:” he added
 “We arrested him from Soura Srinagar. His arrest is a major breakthrough,” Khan claimed. 
The SP claimed that the arrested Hurriyat (G) leader was actively involved in collecting money from the saw mill owners and Fruit Mandi Sopore to “fuel unrest.”
