PROTESTS IN KREERI
Baramulla, Mar 11: Scores of people took to streets at Kreeri in north Kashmir on Friday against the alleged failure of police in tracing the killers of Nazir Ahmad Lone, shot dead by the unidentified gunmen on February 28 this year.
Witnesses said that locals took to streets in Kreeri this morning demanding action against the killers.
“Killers’ of Nazir must be brought to book and punished sternly” protesters demanded. The slain was a shopkeeper by profession.
Kreeri town also observed a complete shutdown.
Hizb appoints Baleeg-ud-Din as spokesperson
Srinagar, Mar 11: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen has appointed Baleeg-ud-Din as its spokesperson in Kashmir.
In a statement, Hizb’s Muzaffarabad based spokesperson, Ehsan Illah said, “Baleeg-ud-Din will be issuing statements on behalf of Hizb in Kashmir while statements from Pakistan will be issued by me.”
Meanwhile, United Jehad Council and Hizb have paid rich tributes to slain Chief Commander of Jash-e-Muhammad, Sajjad Afghani, who was killed in an encounter yesterday at Foreshore road on city outskirts. (KNS)
