‘Give adequate time slot to Gojri on DD, AIR’
Jammu, Mar 13: Demanding adequate time slot to Gojri language on All India Radio and Doordarshan, the J&K Gujjars today expressed resentment against non-representation of their mother tongue in daily broadcast of various channels of AIR and DD in the State including DD Kashir and DD Jammu.
Addressing Gojri writers, Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation, National Secretary Dr. Javaid Rahi said a delegation of prominent Gojri writers had met with Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Abmica Soni and demanded that the DD Rajouri be made functional on priority and should be declared “DD Gojri” immediately. “But nothing concrete has been done,” he said adding a delegation of Gojri writers would visit Delhi to pursue the case.
