Create internal vigilance at Bn level: Gupta
Jammu, Mar 13: Vigilance Commissioner J&K, P L Gupta today laid emphasis on creation of internal Vigilance at battalion level to monitor the unwanted activities of the individuals of the Units.
Addressing the valedictory function of 9th Commandants Conference of J&K Armed Police/ IRP Battalions which concluded here, Gupta while referring to the major National level 2G spectrum and CWG scam, emphasized to make good the trust deficit among common man to make functioning transparent and accounted for.
DIG AP Jammu, T Punchok and DIG AP Kashmir, Rouf-ul-Hassan deliberated on the topics Non-Lethal Means of Crowd Control, Recruitment and Training respectively.
Highlighting the transparent procedures to be adopted during recruitment process, DIG AP Kashmir laid stress upon the duties of the Chairman of the recruitment Board.
Commenting on the various aspects of the recruitment procedures, ADGP Armed/Law & Order J&K, K Rajendra Kumar laid emphasis on use of modern technology in the process involving online submission of application forms etc.
