Ensure participation in Panchayat polls: Soz
Srinagar, Mar 13: The President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Saif-ud-din Soz today asked his party workers to ensure "very large participation" of people in the upcoming Panchayat elections.
"Prof Soz explained to them the need to ensure very large participation of people in the ensuing Panchayat election," a party spokesman said, quoting Soz's address to senior party members at Congress headquarters here.
Soz said Panchayats would be "powerful enough" as "tools of development and justice" in the neighbourhoods.
