2,345 SPOs appointed in 2 years: Govt

Jammu, Mar 14: The Government today said it had appointed 2,345 Special Police Officers on operational grounds in the State in the past two years.
In a written reply to a question in the Assembly, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said 2,345 SPOs had been engaged in different districts on operational grounds in J&K in the past two years.
Meanwhile, responding to another question, Omar said 6,820 casual labourers had been appointed in Power Development Department in the Valley.
