EEU mourns Murtaza’s demise

Srinagar: J&K Electrical Employees’ Union, at a condolence meeting held here today with its central president, Abdul Salam Rajpuri in chair, expressed shock and sorrow over the demise of former executive engineer and ex-chairman Public Service Commission, Akhter Murtaza. The speakers threw detailed light on the life of late Murtaza, describing him a great philanthropist who always helped people irrespective of their creed, colour and religion. As an officer, Murtaza had always been employee-friendly, Union said. The meeting offered special prayers for the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved.The meeting was also attended by Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Mattoo, M Maqbool Najar, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Zahoor Ahmad Wani, Abdul Hamid Zadoo, Abdul Rahim Parray, Abdul Hamid Parray and  Muhammad Yousuf Bhat.
