Altaf review work on Envt park
Ganderbal: Minister for Forest and Environment, Mian Altaf Ahmad today reviewed the work on Environment Park at Kijpora-Kangan.
The park is being developed by the Department of Environment and Remote Sensing. Altaf was told that the Department had spent over Rs 32 lakh on the overall development of the first phase of the park comprising over 7-kanals and allied plantation works spread over more than eight kanals from August-2010 to March-2011, DERS said in a statement.
He was also told that the development of the phase-2 of the park, which had approx eight kanals of area shall be completed within first half of next fiscal (2011-12) along with some minor left over works of phase-1, it said.
The park has been named Baba Nizam-ud-Din Environment Park, he was told.
