7 doctors,12 paramedics found absent
Medico ‘caught pvt practicing’
Srinagar: The Additional Commissioner, Kashmir today caught a doctor allegedly practicing in a private clinic at Sopore during office hours and also found seven doctors and 12 paramedics absent from their duty in health institutions of North Kashmir.
According to an official communiqué, on the instructions of Chief Minister, a team of officers headed by the Additional Commissioner, Kashmir inspected Sub-District Hospital, Sopore, PHC, Chogul, Handwara and District Hospital, Baramulla at 10:30 am.
“The Commissioner found 19 employees absent from duty which include seven doctors and 13 paramedics. Nine employees and a doctors was found absent in SDH Sopore, a doctor and an employee from DH Handwara, five employees from DH, Handwara and two employees were found absent in DH, Baramulla,” it said adding the doctor was caught while practicing at Scan Centre, Sopore.
He said strict action would be initiated against the absentees.
