Militant attack in Sopore

GHULAM MUHAMMAD

Sopore, Mar 21: Suspected militants on Monday fired upon a search party of police in this north Kashmir town. Following the attack, a sub-in¬spector of police was injured after being hit by a vehicle.
Talking to Greater Kash¬mir, Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir, Muneer Ahmed Khan said that militants fired 3-4 rounds on police party at Tehsil Road this afternoon.
“No one was injured in the militant attack .However, a sub-inspector received injuries after he was hit by a vehicle,” he said. The sub-inspector has been identified as Ayaz Geelani.
