Sajad, Ansari, Er Rashid invited on Pak Day

Srinagar, Mar 22: For the first time, three mainstream politicians of the Valley have been invited by Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Pakistan Day celebrations on March 23.
The separatist-turned-mainstream politician Sajad Ghani Lone, Peoples Democratic Party leader Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari and Independent legislator Er Rashid are invitees along with top separatist leadership at the celebrations in New Delhi.
Lone, who contested Parliamentary elections from Kupwara–Baramulla segment in 2009 has received the invitation first time in his political career.
“He was not invited even during his separatist stint including with Hurriyat,” sources said.
Prominent separatist leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have already accepted the invitation. While Geelani is in Delhi, Mirwaiz and Malik are scheduled to leave Wednesday morning to participate in the function.
