School hosts awareness program

Srinagar, Mar 26: A daylong awareness programme on importance of forests was Saturday held at Government Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh.
 The Department of Botany in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the institution organized the event which started with the recitation of Holy Quran.
 “The event was embellished by the students who deliberated lectures on the theme Food is Subservient to the Forests,” the school Principal Tasleem Sheikh said.
 Later, prizes were distributed among the participants while NSS Programme Officer, Samina Wani offered vote of thanks.
 Meanwhile the school also held a program on adult education.
