Nallah Amir Khan, Hamdania Colony, Nowshera residents appeal MLA

WE the residents of Hamadania Colony, Nallah Amir Khan Road and
Nowshera in Shahr-E-Khaas have been facing inconvenience due to lack of proper drainage network in the area.
In this context we called on the concerned MLA a number of times during the last two years inviting his immediate attention towards the dilapidated  condition of the existing age old surface drain running along the foundation of a number of residential houses adjacent to Masjids there. The drain overflow has caused extensive damage to the residential houses.
In one of the instances, it was proposed by the Left River Circular Road Division Srinagar to construct a deep drain in the center of lane  behind the house of Abdul Rehman Dar upto Masjid for which a revised estimate was also framed in pursuance of the MLA’s instructions last year.
Though the MLA had assured us that the work on the deep drain shall be taken up on war footing, the work is yet to begin.
In fact all the affected residents are living in troubled waters as the sewage often spills on to the roads. We appeal the concerned MLA to look into the matter and get the drainage network revamped at an earliest.
