Rahim Green, LDBK plant 350 conifers

Srinagar, Mar 27: The Livestock Development Board, Kashmir (LDBK) with the assistance of Rahim Greens, an offshoot of Rahim Motors and Rahim Gensets, planted 350 conifers in the sprawling campus of Frozen Semen Project at Ranbirbagh and another 150 plants at its Shalteng premises where the Valley’s largest Liquid Nitrogen Plant is being installed shortly.
According to Dr F A Kaloo, CEO, LDB 2000 more plants of a different variety are in pipeline to be planted on barren lands held by the animal husbandry department at various places across the valley.
The two organizations joined hands on 20th of this month for a plantation drive as part of world Arbor Day celebrations.
Abdul Hamid CMD of Rahim Motors Rahim Gensets has committed to provide plant material for Animal Husbandry Campuses at Androon Kathi Darwaza, Srinasgar, Zakura, Shopian, Malhar Ganderbal and other sites to be identified by the directorate of Animal Husbandry for which Secretary Animal & Sheep Husbandry, BD Sharma is reported to have passed instructions.
