Burglars gang busted, 3 held

Srinagar, Mar 28: Police in Kupwara has claimed to have busted a gang of burglars by arresting three persons and recovering the stolen goods.
 According to police spokesman, the trio has been identified as kingpin Towseef Ahmad Wani alias Heera son of Abdul Jabbar Wani of Darzipora, Kupwara and his two associates Farooq Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Rasool, Javeed Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Qadir. “On their instances we recovered an ECG machine, two X-Ray cassettes and other accessories worth lakhs,” police said adding Towseef was a drug addict and involved in various criminal cases. About the modus operandi, police said the burglars used to strike together by conducting recce of the target place in advance and in night used to commit the crime by breaking open the locks by using various tools.  “One amongst them used to keep the watch so to alert others,” police added.
