Govt responsible for 118 killings: Nayeem
Srinagar: Senior resistance leader and National Front chairman, Nayeem Khan on Monday held the J&K Government responsible for the killing of 118 innocent people during 2010 upsurge in Valley.
“The killing of unarmed youth is a black chapter in Kashmir history,” Nayeem said while addressing public inside the house of Haneefa at Kreeri in north Kashmir.
Haneefa, 35, succumbed to bullet injuries after battling for life for seven months.
Nayeem assured people that their sacrifices would yield results in near future and the Government of India would accept the political rights of Kashmiris. He said, “It is the result of sacrifices of Kashmiris that organization like Amnesty International is talking about injustices done to Kashmiris”.
Nayeem later visited SKIMS, Soura, and enquired about the health of noted senior trade union leader and EJAC (Q) president, Abdul Qayoom Wani. He prayed for the speedy recovery of employees’ leader.
