Islamabad fire victims seek compensation

Islamabad: The traders and industrial estate units of this South Kashmir town have appealed to the government to release their compensation for the damage caused to their buildings due to the blaze during the summer unrest.
Pertinently, a municipal shopping complex at General Bus stand housing private transport offices and medical shops and one of the buildings in Industrial Estate were gutted when the protesters set ablaze the police posts on June, 29 last year. “Despite knocking the doors of officials many a times, neither the building has been repaired nor we have been compensated,” said a delegation of shopkeepers.
