Martial art competition concludes
Srinagar, Mar 30: The three day martial art games competition organised by IRP-II Bn in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) concluded at Sheri-Kashmir Indoor Stadium, here on Wednesday.
In the event competitions of three martial art disciplines, Thahg-Ta, Judo and Wushu were held, an official handout said.
Commandant II Bn, MY Mir, Deputy Director Doordarshan, Syed Zeeshan Fazil, Deputy Director Information and Public Relation, Muhammad Yaseen Khan, field publicity officer, Sajjad Hussain and other connected officers were present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Commandant, MY. Mir in his address highlighted the importance of these games particularly for girls and said the girls should come forward in a big way to learn the art of self defence which gives them a sense of self confidence and self defence, handout said.
