Recognize Kashmiris as party to K-issue: JKLF (R)
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir on Wednesday said Kashmiris should be recognized as cardinal party to the Kashmir issue and their involvement in talks ensured.
“For resolving Kashmir in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people, the status of Kashmiris as party to it needs to be recognized and their participation in the process of talks ensured,” said Mir, while addressing a public rally at Martyrs’ Graveyard, Eid Gah, here.
Front on Wednesday organized a meeting at Martyrs’ Graveyard, Eid Gah, here to mark the 21st martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-i-Kashmir Ashfaq Majid Wani.
Besides Tahir Ahmad Mir, Rasakh Khursheed Dar, Wajahat Qureshi and Muhammad Rafiq Bhat, a large number of people participated in the Fateh Khawani of Shaheed-i-Kashmir and other martyrs.
“After Fateh Khawani a public rally led by Javid Ahmad Mir was taken out on the occasion,” said Front in a statement.
Paying to rich tributes to Shaheed-i-Kashmir, Javid Mir said, “In 1988 Ashfaq started a movement which later on took the shape of mass revolution. Lakhs of people joined it and offered sacrifices of their precious lives. It was because of the sacrifices of these martyrs that Kashmir issue was pulled out of clod storage and revived. As a result, today Kashmir has become focus of international attention and now whole world is stressing for its immediate resolution.”
